Kirkwood Homes Maintains Its 100% Record

Luxury house builder Kirkwood Homes has revealed that following on from the 100% customer satisfaction that it received in 2010 that it has managed to achieve the same level of customer satisfaction for the first six months of 2011.

Kirkwood Homes managing director Colin Crombie said the company was thrilled with the feedback it had received from customers through the issue of a customer survey asked homeowners a variety of quality and service related questions. Kirkwood received unanimous positive feedback when customers were asked whether they would recommend Kirkwood to friends and family.

Mr Crombie said: “We are absolutely delighted with the response we have had to these surveys. We work extremely hard to achieve high standards across all aspects of our business from the attention to detail in the initial design of our homes to the quality of the finished product and to have that hard work acknowledged and appreciated by customers is very encouraging.”

Customers are asked a range of questions from the knowledge and ability of the sales consultant to the standard of specification and the range of optional upgrades that are available with the company scoring in excess of 86% for each of the questions asked.

This high level of performance continued when homebuyers were asked about their experiences relating to the quality of build and finish cleanliness of the house on move in day, the external environment on move-in day, the ease of reporting snagging and the time taken to complete remedial works with scores in excess of 87% achieved for each of these questions.

Mr Crombie said: “Kirkwood Homes has a long-established and well-earned reputation for delivering high quality housing that enhances the community and to have our customers provide such positive feedback confirms our faith in our business model that concentrates on quality rather than scale.

“It is always a challenge when it comes to asking what your customers think of you, if it’s not good it can be difficult when the feedback comes in. As always, things are never perfect and there are areas where there is still room for improvement. Nonetheless, when homebuyers are considering what is perhaps the largest investment they will ever make, it is vital their experience is a positive one and we are very pleased that our customers have found that to be the case. We are committed to ensuring that we provide the highest level of customer service and we will continue to publish and update on a regular basis on our website our customer survey results.

Kirkwood recently released its new site at Westhill; a development of four, five and six-bedroom homes which saw a quarter of the development sold out in two weeks, this follows on from the successful release of its development at Monymusk where the first phase sold out in hours, demand for the second phase consisting of three, four and five-bedroom detached homes remains high. This good start to 2011 has been mirrored across the other developments being built by the Sauchen-based builder in Keith, Fetterangus, Insch and Fettercairn.

Mr Crombie believes there is still a considerable degree of pent-up demand for housing and improvements in the lending market in 2011 – for example, the availability of 90% mortgages and a large range of very attractively priced mortgage products for customers who have larger deposits coupled with a more stable economic situation in the region - means the north-east market remains in better health than elsewhere in Scotland.
