Amazing choice of two schools and both are a close walking distance from nearly everywhere and there is plenty of amenities. It’s a small friendly village close enough to the centre of town but far enough away to still feel part of a local community.
The city suburb has expanded in recent years and has evolved into a bustling community
on the edge of Aberdeen city. Find out more about the area, its amenities, what it’s like to
live in from current residents and lots more useful information.

Nestled by the sea, with scenic views across the coast line and just a short drive from the city centre of Aberdeen, Cove has lots to offer right on its doorstep for places to eat and things to do. Our favourites include:
Built using local pink and beige granite, the Cove Bay Hotel has been at the heart of the Cove community for over 200 years. The Cove Bay Hotel is proud to serve locals and visitors passing through with locally sourced fresh produce – that is just as gorgeous as the views overlooking the sea.
We would recommend booking ahead and requesting a seaview – and be sure to try the Cullen Skink!
Covering 134 acres of land from Nigg Bay to Cove, the accredited Doonies Farm is ideal for a fun family day out. You can learn about animals and farming, as well as support the farm in helping to preserve rare and endangered native farm animals and work with the RBST to increase the population of these endangered animals.
With a picnic area on site, the farm is perfect for a Spring day when you can see newly born ponies, chicks and piglets around the farm yard before enjoying your lunch in the Aberdeen sunshine. Remember and say hi to Clucky the hen!
Often mistaken for the legendary Hard Rock Café, Haar Rock Coffee is a new addition to Cove. Owned locally, this busy and modern coffee shop has been designed with its customers in mind. It’s the perfect space where you can meet your friends over a delicious hot mug of coffee and cake, or grab a hot drink on the morning school run.
Haar Rock also caters for meetings and special events with bespoke menus and the space for professional and personal occasions.
Looking for a different and exciting thing to do with your family or friends? Look no further! Jump In, which opened in Aberdeen in 2017, is a trampoline park just a short drive from Cove, and has interconnected trampolines and wall trampolines, as well a foam pit, air bag, dedicated toddler jump space and Gladiator-style battle beam.
If farmyard animals and jumping around aren’t for you, then maybe a bit of TLC would suit better. I-Candy in Cove can offer first class pampering just along the road from you.
Staffed by a team of local and dedicated expert stylists, I-Candy Hair & Beauty offers the latest trends and fashion must-haves from hair and tanning, to nails and brows. This one’s not just for the mums either, with Princess Pamper Parties also available to book for the little lady in your life.
The coastal town of Cove and its surrounding areas allow you to escape with peaceful walks, undisturbed nature and breathtaking views across the North Sea.
Be the first to find out about the latest offers at Cove. Make sure you don’t miss out on the best plots as soon as they are released.
